Next stop... the Sunshine State! The Lingo24, Inc. team is heading to Florida next week, to join thousands of business leaders and IT experts at one of the biggest technology conferences of the year.

For 20 years, the Lotusphere was a not-to-be-missed event for anyone in the world of software. Now IBM has combined it with last year’s successful Connect events. As well as technical content, IBM Connect will explore the latest developments in social and collaborative technologies, and how they can bring real value to businesses.

The event takes place at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin – although we don’t expect there’ll be much spare time for exploring the Magic Kingdom! Instead, the attractions will include industry experts discussing everything from creating a more engaged workforce to assessing the latest software.

One of the main tracks will look at improving the customer experience, and how social media can be used to reach and retain customers. Another track will focus on “creating a smarter workforce”. Speakers will consider how the latest technology and motivation techniques can help make employees happier and more productive.

The speakers will include Alistair Rennie, IBM’s general manager of social business, and Rudy Karsan, Co-founder and CEO, Kenexa, the business solutions software company. There’ll also be plenty of hands-on sessions, and masterclasses for people of all levels.

The Lingo24, Inc. team, Matt Jackson, Head of Internet Marketing, Harry Smith, Head of Sales Americas, and David Webb, Machine Translation Sales Specialist,  will be promoting our latest translation technology at our exhibition booth. They’ll be chatting to visitors about how smart software can streamline the translation process, and the benefits of our customized Machine Translation tools.

David said: "This is a great platform for us to showcase our latest developments in Machine Translation technology. We're looking forward to meeting attendees, answering their questions and demonstrating how our systems can help tackle their ever-growing mountains of content."

 They’ll also be inviting participants to test their knowledge of Machine Translation and win a brand-new Google Nexus 7 tablet with a slim-fit case!
